Somewhat cool but I wont do body modifications

1. scarification

Why I wont do it: these cost money and looks painful as fuck. I can go work and get burnt all the same. the only downside is I can't choose what design I want. Oh ya, I have 2 scars on my hand. one the map of the world and the other is a bamboo pole(lol?)

2.Human branding

Why I wont do it: third degree burn that breaks down the nerve. Too much for me to take already also I will smell chao ta. Tattooing is the most I would go and some parts like the wrist already hurts like a bitch

3. 3D art implant

Why I wont do it: er, no? why would I want something to pop out of my body? As if my body is not puffy enough LOL I know la, it's two completely different things altogether so just shut up ok

4. pointy ears

Why I wont do it: I weigh the pros and cons already.

Pro: you look cute (but i have hair covering my ears 24/7 and the only time i will tie my hair is during work or when I'm damn hot and cant be bothered if my ears are pointy cute or just plain normal ears)

Con: have to go through surgery to dissect the top of your ear

5.pierced specs

Why I wont do it: Cos I look very fugly with specs on and it's ridiculous to pierce specs onto your skin? I mean how are you going to sleep? Dont tell me it is removable hor, cos it will defeats the purpose of piercing it.

Smellyboo sees dai yang tian day

The other day, we had our usual shopping day in town and I wrote previously that I got quite a lot of things like hair pins, bling stickers, top from newlook and I forgot what else.

I lost the bow pin already! Damn sad

She took this shot and goes "I also want! Help me take!"

She complained that the angle not right la, can see the mirror reflection la,she wasn't ready la, a lot of excuses one.

So after what seems like 18250940 shots later, tadah, she's satisfied with this

And we saw dai yang tian in Diesel at paragon

she tried to make me walk past the store to and fro multiple times but I wont bulge LOL

In the end we went upstair to metro cos she wants to show me the Guess? bag she likes and wants to know if I think if it's a good buy.

I think it's quite typical how I spent my new year's eve

First was reunion dinner w the fam

we have lettuce, hot dogs, crab meat, liver, sliced meat, cuttle fish, prawns, sliced fish, meatballs, abalone and bao bei this time

that's only for 3 people lor

after dinner, relac relac awhile then went over waterloo street

last min shoppers damn shiok

they get like dirt cheap cny stuffs

decos cost nothing over 2 bucks and taiwan mochi cost 2 bucks per box

we got 5 LOL

got gigantic joss sticks went in waterloo street temple to pray

lots of cameras and tv crew there

think they wanna film for news report later

we went in around 11pm to avoid the crazy crowd who will come in at 12am sharp

but it wasnt as crowded this year due to the rain

mom and uncle was on the news today

got evidence mom bully uncle loh

she was caught scolding and pushing uncle LOL.

cheenatown few days before cny!

had hokkien mee, carrot cake and yong tau foo

it was raining, damn inconvenient

but it was fun!

the canopies were filled with water and every now and then someone will tilt the canopies to empty out the water

some suay kias will tio all the water

there's this woman with her LV bag who kanna drenched haha

and we had desserts

walnut paste for carene, chendol for aster and durian shavings for me

we got these for all of us!

steamboat w zac and kimo last week

before that we wenta bugis to get cny clothings and all

kimo made an impromptu decision to touch up her tatt.

and i had wo ai taimei's super caramel milk tea with white pearl

im ditching koi for wo ai taimei alr haha

after bugis we rushed to yew tee

then that two ass go cut hair

damn boring waiting for them so i went to get a henna

got our steamboat ingredients ready
i love this pot of soup.

I like that my house has tons of goodies and it has since expanded after this pic was taken

and how the family spring cleans, buy stocks and food together?

this cny i cleaned all the windows w dad and bro

and i forced bro to clean the gate LOL

and we went to the market together

find an excuse to buy more clothes

go out more often

and go to places we wont go unless it's cny

this cny i've been to waterloo temple, cheenatown and OG lol

met jon for the first time when he's in sg few weeks ago

i'll say he's like the male version of me

we had boon tong kee which we couldnt be bothered to pronounce properly so we name it boon donkey haha

after our chicken rice dinner, we walked over to udders for ice cream and play pictionary.

This weekend has been helluva busy.

But it's fun though.

I love weekends nearing CNY!

so fri was cleaning up my room again and going off to work

sat was shopping in town w smell

and i bought bow, flower and crystal hair pins, lots of scrunchies and a top from new look

new look is officially my fave shop!

i used to think f21's damn nice but now i've got new look!

the top is like black with green hearts all over

and accessorize has 70% discount, i got this nano sticker. it's fucking chio

afterwards met up with crazy gang at cow car water LOL

it's damn funny when the canopies are collecting rain water and whenever someone pushes the water off, those suay kias walking past will get drenched

there's this woman w her LV bag tio drenched HAHAHAHA

and today was gg bugis w kimo and zac, touching up tatt, cny shopping and steamboat at my place.

i lazy to upload photos leh.

Boring as it is, this post is STILL going to be about happy nehneh pok.

I dont think I've provided reasons why I gave her such a "lame" name.

It was because on the first day I got her,

which was on new year's day,

I've kept her in a temporary fish tank for a day before Jess gave me her pink cage

While watching her, she always shows me her nehneh hence the name happy nehneh pok

The pet shop she was from has a lot of baby hamsters proudly displayed in front of the shop.

There were different breeds housed together

These were the more "sellable" ones(aged 4 to 6 weeks)

guinea pigs and bunnies were also on display.

they charge you exorbitant prices ranging from 45 to 60 bucks for a hamster.

Just behind the big display, there's this entire block of transparent boxes about the size of 20inch by 30inch

In each of these boxes lives a hamster or two and sometimes three.

These hamsters were either new borns( probably 2 weeks old,too young to be separated from the mother) or too "old" thus not sellable atm/already.

sometime late dec last year, i saw this hamster in one of the boxes with only a water bottle and food bowl. No wheel or toys

the bottle was too high up for her,

she always fell on her back trying to get a drink and always has to stand on one leg trying to reach the ball bearing of the bottle

I also noticed that her eyes were closed most of the time and she walks with a limp.

Also, her back has this sharp jut that was impossible to miss.

It wasn't love at first sight at the pet shop. That hamster is so cute im going to buy her kinda scenario.

Was more of like feeling appalled

As days goes by, the thought of the hamster still lingers

After repeated visits to the pet shop, I finally decided to get her on new year's day.

I asked the pet shop assistant for the price of the hamster and it comes to a shocking 30 bucks just because it was a yellow blue pudding hamster

I blatantly lied to him that the previous day I was there, the other assistant quoted 15 bucks instead

He said it was possible to sell it for 15 because it is already very big(6 months) which I assumed also meant it is not sellable

enquired about her eyes and he said she was sleeping!

I wont say this assistant is cunning because his boss is in the shop as well and if he were to tell me nehneh is blind, I "might decided not to buy" and he was sure to get a scolding from scaring off a potential customer.

However, he tried his best to get me accessories within my budget.

So I got my happy nehneh pok at 15.

I've read many hamster forums since and it never fails to make me feel that I made the right decision getting nehneh pok.

Some of the posts on forums include

- Pouring boiling water on hamsters that nobody wants to buy

the story of how one of the rescued hamsters was adopted here

- A girl read about this "proven breeding pair" and the state of health of the hamsters was beyond imagination (the female hamster died from breeding)

Often, I would think what would have happened to happy nehneh pok if I didnt buy her.

An "old" and impaired hamster that many potential hamster owners would walked past without giving two hoots about her well being.

A little hamster's life could be changed.

Which was why I wont buy from pet shops apart from this incident.

If you are looking for hamsters, why not try sghamsters or hamsterhideout?

There are always talks on forums on abandoned hamsters found, baby hamsters waiting for adoption.

As much as I love to adopt more hamsters, people who know me should know that I'm extremely terrified of furry animals so it took a lot of me to decide to get nehneh.

I'm sure this saying applies to all pet owners hamster or not.

A pet is something in your life but to the pet, you are everything.

So if you can provide a better living condition, why not?

I know la, I sound like some self preaching bitch but whatever k.

What opinions u formed doesnt matter to me.

I hope one day u realise that putting people down serves no purpose and benefits no one.

anyway ive placed happy nehneh pok's previous cage in the tank as well so she can climb ard

since she dont want to use the wood chew i used it to make a gap on the top of the cage loh

two wheels and two bell toys and two food bowls for her
the inside of her cage.

the pink house is actually double storey but that nehneh pok dont like to go upstairs so i removed one storey
the only thing missing is the background that im drawing right now. new sun, clouds and star.

yup, i have cat litter at the bottom. heard that like that it is better for absorbency.

then i can change tank once in 2 weeks!
while i was setting up her tank

his voice damn nice!

drew these to paste at the back of happy nehneh pok's tank.

i think not even halfway through.

there are more things now including a giraffee, goldfish, monkey, butterfly and plankton from spongebob squarepants!

the first thing i draw usually looks like crap

and the first thing i usually drew is my favourite.

brought celery and carrots this time.

meanwhile, blossom has molted again

so i left her alone in case she gets too stressed and dies.

idk if i did mention i bought fresh food for happy everyday

so anyway i bought a pack of carrots for her but i read on forums that puddings are more prone to diabetes and carrots will change their fur colour so i kiasi never give her already

then i thought, since downstairs got people keep rabbits can give them lor

when i walked over, they run towards me leh. so cute but i know la, cannot keep them.

so i fed them 3 carrots which i roughly chopped

dk why their cage like so dirty and muddy one leh

that pile on the right looks like mud lor
empty food bowl. but i see food pellets on the newspaper.

but when i fed them carrots they were damn hungry leh.
xin tong see they sleep without newspaper or bedding.

so i will make it a point to visit them frequently
