Have you heard of the woman who slammed heart landers?
I saw on Stomp this article of a woman, Samantha who stays at Holland V and she is unhappy with the heart landers coming to Holland V
Here's the article

In it, she called a local radio station and publicly expressed her displeasure with heart landers
She said "We people(from Holland V) are cultured and heart landers are not cultured because they dress in shorts and slippers and weird coloured hair"
and "we're more high class than that"

I'd say cultured people are not define by THEMSELVES, because she has been categorizing herself as a culture person with absolutely no proof or whatsoever. And, cultured people do not call in to a radio station and slams fellow Singaporeans publicly. So tell me, which part of this sounds like a "cultured" person's doing? Being in Singapore, everyone has freedom of speech and to do whatever they want so I don't think what others wear and do should be judged by people who thinks they have the right to. I've known people who lives at Holland V and they went out in shorts and slippers too. Bet this Samantha would categorize them as "heart landers"

"please stay where u are because you fit there"
and a heart lander called in to defend heart landers
and this girl, Maddy from bedok put on a small fight
but this Samantha was totally rude and ignorant
she said "I've been to Bedok and I've been pushed and shoved around at the interchange"
and "the price of laksa from where I stay is very different from Bedok, right?"

My say. As I've said, it is entirely up to people to go and do whatever they want and she has no right to judge at all! Also, she said she's been pushed and shoved around in Bedok interchange. And I'd say, if you are so "high class" to live at Holland V, "such an expensive estate", why can't you afford your own transport? Are you so hard on yourself to prove to people that you are "high class" to live in expensive estates that you've starved yourself silly to afford such apartments that you have no money to afford your own transport?! I'm not saying that people who takes public transport are not "high class" but just saying that high class people certainly do not go around telling people that they are high class and all no? And I stress that Holland V properties are not on the top list. Bukit Timah,  Sentosa Cove and Town are on the top list so why is this Samantha so arrogant about living at Holland V? I don't see people from Holland V putting others down like that. Prices of laksa varies because of different factors like location, rent and ingredients used so do yourself a favour by reading up instead of making a fool out of yourself

"Do you even earn enough to come and buy what we have, what we enjoy"
To which, Maddy replied "Then it is no different in Orchard then. People get shoved around in Orchard too"
Samantha retorted "Ya, but those people who shoved people around are heart landers don't you think?"
Seriously, how the fuck she know they are heart landers?!
This is what she has to say "firstly, no manners, talk loudly, those clothes that you buy off Bugis street, the cheap ones"
"the gangsters, ah lians and ah bengs are from heart lands"

My say. I bet those people who own stalls in Bugis are more well off than you. Your stereotyping of people is so ridiculous that it's almost funny. If one day (touch wood la) there are gang fights in Holland V, everyone should go hunt that Samantha down and say "eh, gang fight in Holland V leh, high class gang fight ah?!" HAHA in your face. Every part of Singapore is unique and should be whole so why put other areas down? You think by this radio conference it made you sound "high class" and "cultured"? It'd only made you sound like an ignorant fool and making a mockery out of yourself, yup, you've achieved that, congrats.

By the time this post gets published, this bunk bed would have been taken down to pieces and out of the house already.
I still like this bed a lot but time for changes.
Had a hard time clearing out my stuff and it was back to less than a year ago when I first had this bed.
 Goodbye, bunk bed (:
And it was hello new furniture!
I know I have a lot of things but seriously the main problem is the bags.
I like my new furniture (:
I adore wooden pieces. Wasn't totally done though, we are not done with the console and old wardrobe.
 colourful bed sheets!
Korean mask frame that uncle brought back from his business trip. Mum find them scary.
My rings! I've lost quite a few of them though. Can only think of 3 but, 3 leh!
Wait till I show u my bangles collection haha.
R: wah lao wei! you got how many hands! i think octopus also not enough to carry so many lor
Actually she's exaggerating one.
Yup, my house furniture were mainly blue.
We had them since 1995 and they are still in perfect condition, totally amazes me. Wooden furniture ftw!
Meanwhile, this crabby patty is busying crawling around.
Happy's sleeping as usual. She sleeps up to 20 hours due to her diabetes.
 My cactus! Haven't die yet!
And this is what I see everyday. Seriously, the school band suck shit. Everyone who has been to my house agrees to a great extent!
I really hate to admit this but as time goes by and the symptoms are just staring right back at you in the face, you have to resign to fate.
Happy is diabetic.
The first night I got her, she was shivering. I thought she must be cold
And I gave her a small towel and promptly dismissed the incident.
Then one day, I found patches of her fur on her front missing and they never grew back
Definitely frowned upon this. This is not how a normal hamster should be.
After some time, she began getting skinnier and skinnier though she ate a lot and the last straw came when her tank were infested with ants barely 3 days after I cleaned the tank.
I have to accept it, I have a diabetic hamster.
Her breed is most prone to have diabetes so I took care in giving her certain food but I guess it was too late, she got diabetes when she was in the pet shop.
Doesn't mean that she is going to die though.
She's still eating and all but she gets cold easily and I have to pick out the sunflower seeds, peanuts and corn from her mix.
It's no one's fault. Her parents could be of poor background with tons of health problems, happened to a lot of hamsters. That's one of the cons for buying hamsters from a pet shop, you never knew who the parents are and their health problems.
If she eats something wrong, she might go into coma and die.
Check out the pic above.
She's the size of a three month old hamster
Pretty damn skinny for her breed.
Puddings are suppose to be fat.
And her head is the size of my thumb. Heartbreaking.
I don't know why such a tiny hamster has to go through so much. First she was blind and crippled back when she was still in the shop and now she gets diabetes. It's not fair. She hasn't done anything bad )':

Used my spec to gauge how big she actually is.
Using my fat, stubby finger to gauge. I was appalled seeing this. Why? I read that there is basically nothing you can do even if you bring the hamster to a vet because there are no cure and vets will advise to have a change in diet. So basically it's all back to me making her as comfortable as can be for the rest of her life.

I think she's amazing!
I mean who can sing both man AND woman's key and she does so perfectly (:
But of course she's has had a bad past.
Her father won't approve of her surgery and even beat her up
She hope they can reconcile. I hope so too (:
Really like this tatt. It represents love, peace, harmony and balance. Maybe just the size of a fifty cent coin at the side of my wrist.
Some moral dilemmas I found online

A father's agonizing choice
You are an inmate in a concentration camp. A sadistic guard is about to hang your son who tried to escape and wants you to pull the chair from underneath him. He says that if you don't he will not only kill your son but some other innocent inmate as well. You don't have any doubt that he means what he says. What should you do?

My answer: I would pull the chair because there is no way to safe the son so why let others die too?

The Partiality of Friendship
Jim has the responsibility of filling a position in his firm. His friend Paul has applied and is qualified, but someone else seems even more qualified. Jim wants to give the job to Paul, but he feels guilty, believing that he ought to be impartial. That's the essence of morality, he initially tells himself. This belief is, however, rejected, as Jim resolves that friendship has a moral importance that permits, and perhaps even requires, partiality in some circumstances. So he gives the job to Paul. Was he right?

My answer: I would give the job to my friend just because

The value of a promise
A friend confides to you that he has committed a particular crime and you promise never to tell. Discovering that an innocent person has been accused of the crime, you plead with your friend to give himself up. He refuses and reminds you of your promise. What should you do? In general, under what conditions should promises be broken?

My answer: I won't make that promise in the first place

Spouse
Your spouse is suffering from a debilitating disease that has put her in constant and permanent pain and agony. Finally, one day, she decides that she really wants to die. However, her condition is such that she cannot die on her own. She is begging and pleading with you to help her commit suicide. This would, of course, be illegal. What would you do?

My answer: I would be in pain either way. I guess I won't because I'm selfish and I can't bear to

Nieces and daughters
You and your family are going away for the weekend. Your daughter is 7 and is best friends with your niece, who is also 7. Your families are very close and your daughter asks if your niece can come with you on your holiday. You have been on holidays together before and don’t see any problem, so you agree.
You arrive at your holiday destination and the house you are staying at backs onto a beach. The girls ask if they can go for a swim. You tell them that they have to wait until you have unpacked the car, but they can play on the sand directly in front of the beach. They run down to the sand, and you begin to unpack the car. After about 5 minutes, you hear screaming coming from the direction of the beach and it sounds like the girls.
You run down to see what the matter is, and you discover that they hadn’t listened to you and have gone for a swim. There is no one else on the beach and the girls are caught in a rip.
The girls are really struggling, particularly your niece who isn’t as strong a swimmer as your daughter.
You swim out quickly, but when you get there, you realize that there is no way you will be able to get both the girls back into shore on your own. You realize that an agonizing decision will need to be made.
You need to decide which of the girls you will rescue first, you have enough strength and energy to rescue them both, but you can only do it one at a time. You look at the two girls, and your niece is really struggling to hold her head above water and you know if you take your daughter back first, there will be little or no chance that she will survive.
Your daughter is struggling also, but is much stronger in the water and you estimate that if you take your niece back to shore first, there’s probably a 50% chance that your daughter will be able to stay afloat long enough for you return, but you simply don’t know how long she will hold on for.

My answer: Niece first

Have you heard the news?
Japan has been hit by 8.9 magnitude quake followed by a massive tsunami
I suppose even though my situation is in such a dire state, it's not as bad as getting natural disasters
As long as I'm alive right?
I've come to terms and it really is nobody's fault
All I can hope for is to leave in peace
Okay, back to the quake. it is the 5th largest quake in history with Chile's 9.5 in 1960 being the biggest
I heard this news at 330pm and I still didnt know how big an impact this disaster have made
So many reblogs on tumblr.
Up to 53 countries expected to be hit with the tsunami
In 2 hours time, Malaysia would be hit and as of now, Hawaii braces for impact.
The current status of Japan now is heartbreaking, an oil refinery plant caught fire, ships were sent coming into the shores and many were left stranded when the trains were halted, the number comes up to a million. One of the main airport is flooded
Someone tweeted that an SQ flight crashed when landing in Japn, 77 dead but I cant confirm if this is true.
This was what the roads look like now.
All the debris
People fleeing to rooftops, looking at their surrounding in dismay
A china ware shop owner with all his broken china
An oil refinery company on fire.
